Role Summary

The Head of Marketing and Student Recruitment is responsible for providing City University with effective media communications representation and marketing collateral that represent a strong brand image of the company’s products and services to customers and prospects. The Head will also provide tactical and analytical support to the Marketing and Students recruitment team whilst providing tactical workload reports. The Head will drive City University Qatar’s (CUQ) Recruitment and Marketing Strategy, ensuring that all recruitment, engagement and promotional activities maximize student enrolment. In particular, the post holder will work and engage with relevant governmental authorities, ministries and corporate clients to generate and secure a pipeline of leads, resulting in student enrolments to CUQ programmes.

Collaborates with: CUQ Executive Team, Department Heads, Shared Services Teams at Head Office

Key Responsibilities

· Responsible for the development and management of marketing collateral, including social media; website content; videos; printed matter (including brochures, newsletters, annual reports etc.); photo libraries; exhibition and display material.

· Responsible for strategically defining, planning, executing and following up on marketing communication plans for driving awareness of CUQ’s brand in the marketplace.

· Meeting with members of the senior management team to discuss communication needs and agree assignments.

· Providing support for exhibitions and events as needed.

· Liaising with external agencies, suppliers and providers as needed.

· Planning and Managing the Marketing Communication Team and Business development team

· Managing workloads for yourself and that of your team

· Prioritizing and managing assignments and building an external client base, managing the expectations of your clients and delivering high quality products

· Managing confidential information

· Plan and execute a range of activities to ensure all recruitment and admission targets and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are achieved

· Complete weekly and monthly business development reports and the progress towards achieving agreed KPIs

· Be responsible for engaging with corporate clients, including the establishment and monitoring of Prime Strategic Partnerships, ensuring performance indicators are met

· Develop and maintain relationships with key employers with the purpose of establishing mutually beneficial business opportunities e.g. work placements, internships, services, training and development needs

· In liaison with the Marketing Officer, develop strategies to promote CUQ programmes to businesses and employers and arrange meetings to promote CUQ and maximise applications/enrolments.

· Network across Qatar to ensure maximum opportunities for recruitment are developed and realized

· Prepare and deliver a variety of presentations to corporate entities outlining all CUQ programmes and other relevant information

· Nurture & manage relationships with Ministries and Governmental agencies to secure enrolments for CUQ.

General

The post holder will be expected to undertake other duties as appropriate and as requested by his/her manager including but not limited to teaching responsibility in his/her area of expertise.

· Ability to use social media platforms such Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn etc. and create blogs using platforms such as Blogger.

· Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Qualifications and Experience:

· Master’s degree in business studies, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, Communications or any other relevant discipline

· A minimum of seven years of mid/senior level management in Marketing Communication and sales experience is preferred.
