Overview

We are partnering with a leading international investment bank to appoint a Head of Mid-Market Investment Banking in Saudi Arabia. This is a high-impact leadership role focused on building and scaling the bank’s mid-cap franchise , complementing its already well-established large-cap platform.

This opportunity offers a unique mandate to originate, develop and execute mid-market transactions across a broad product suite, including M&A, ECM, and DCM , while playing a key role in shaping the firm’s long-term growth strategy in the Kingdom.


Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and scale the mid-cap coverage platform in Saudi Arabia
  • Define strategy, sector focus, and client segmentation
  • Work closely with senior leadership to align with regional and global priorities
  • Originate and lead mid-market transactions across M&A, Equity Capital Markets, and Debt Capital Markets
  • Drive deal execution end-to-end, maintaining best-in-class advisory standards
  • Identify cross-sell opportunities across the bank’s broader product offering
  • Develop and maintain relationships with mid-cap corporates, family groups, and government-related entities
  • Act as a trusted advisor to C-suite stakeholders
  • Leverage existing large-cap relationships to unlock mid-market opportunities
  • Hire, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of bankers
  • Foster a strong execution culture and collaborative environment
  • Work alongside sector/product teams to deliver integrated solutions
  • Position the bank as a leading mid-market advisor in Saudi Arabia
  • Provide market intelligence and contribute to thought leadership initiatives
  • Support expansion into adjacent sectors and regional opportunities


Candidate Profile

  • Experience: 10–15+ years of experience in Investment Banking
  • Strong track record across M&A, ECM, and/or DCM transactions
  • Proven origination capability within the Saudi/GCC mid-market segment
  • Demonstrated experience building or scaling teams/platforms
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
  • Deep understanding of capital markets and advisory products
  • Strong execution capability combined with commercial acumen


Network

  • Established relationships with mid-cap corporates, family offices, and institutional clients in Saudi Arabia

Other

  • Arabic language skills are highly preferred
