Head of Operations-Hatchery-GCC

Overview

To oversee and manage the complete operations of our poultry farms and hatchery facilities. It demands strong leadership in production planning, animal welfare, biosecurity, quality assurance, and operational efficiency to drive sustainable growth and maintain high production standards. The ideal candidate will bring extensive expertise in poultry farm and hatchery management, with proven ability to design strategies, optimize production processes, and lead teams toward achieving organizational goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the daily operations of poultry farms and hatcheries, ensuring high productivity and efficiency.


• Monitor egg production, hatching processes, bird health, and environmental conditions.


• Ensure optimal feed management and water quality to achieve the best growth and yield outcomes.


• Implement strict biosecurity and animal welfare standards in compliance with local and international regulations.


• Coordinate with supply chain and procurement teams to ensure availability of feed, vaccines, and other essential materials.


• Develop and execute operational strategies for the farm and hatchery to meet production, quality, and profitability targets.


• Ensure alignment of operations with the company's long-term vision and business goals.


• Oversee budgeting, resource allocation, and performance monitoring for all farm and hatchery operations.


• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all processes.


• Establish and maintain strict quality control protocols throughout farm and hatchery operations.


• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including health and safety, environmental, and food safety standards.


• Prepare operational reports for senior management and regulatory bodies as required.


• Build, train, and lead a high-performing team across farm and hatchery functions.


• Provide guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations to enhance staff capabilities and engagement.


• Promote a culture of accountability, innovation, and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in animal science, Poultry Science, Veterinary Science, Agriculture, or related field.


• Master's degree or MBA preferred.

Experience

• Minimum 12-15 years of progressive experience in poultry farm and hatchery operations, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.


• Proven track record of managing large-scale poultry operations, preferably in a commercial setting.


• Strong understanding of poultry health management, hatchery systems, and biosecurity measures.
