Head of Private Equity

The Head of Private Equity leads the firm’s private equity strategy, investment execution, and portfolio oversight. This role is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, structuring, and managing private equity investments while ensuring alignment with the organization’s long-term objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the private equity investment strategy and portfolio construction approach.
  • Source, evaluate, and underwrite new investment opportunities.
  • Lead due diligence, transaction structuring, negotiation, and investment committee recommendations.
  • Monitor portfolio performance, identify value-creation opportunities, and manage exit planning.
  • Build and maintain relationships with GPs, advisors, co-investors, and other market participants.
  • Prepare portfolio and investment reports for senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Lead and mentor the private equity team, setting priorities and developing team capability.
  • Ensure compliance with governance, risk, and internal approval processes.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience in private equity, principal investing, investment banking, or a related buy-side role.
  • Strong track record in origination, execution, portfolio management, and stakeholder management.
  • Deep understanding of private equity markets, valuation, and transaction structures.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Advanced degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field is often preferred.

Pay: QAR132.00 - QAR142.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 20 per week
