About the Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Head of Procurement and Logistics to relocate to the Caribbean and join a well-established hospitality and entertainment organization. This senior role offers the chance to lead procurement operations across multiple premium venues in a stunning tropical location, combining professional excellence with an exceptional lifestyle.

This position requires full relocation to the Caribbean. The company provides comprehensive relocation support, including flights, accommodation allowance, work permit, and transport.


The Role

As Head of Procurement and Logistics, you will be responsible for the procurement of all goods across Caribbean-based venues, acting as an acute negotiator who observes the total picture of procurement and purchasing departments to make quality decisions regarding company purchasing.


Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will oversee supplier relationships, contract negotiations, inventory management, and procurement standards across multiple locations, ensuring optimal cost efficiency while maintaining quality standards.


Key Responsibilities:


Vendor & Supplier Management

  • Source and maintain relationships with corporate vendors, promoting healthy partnerships through continuous feedback
  • Negotiate contract terms for new vendors and business partners
  • Conduct regular vendor audits to review prices and complete cost-comparison and usage reports
  • Resolve quality and service issues with suppliers by renegotiating contracts or sourcing substitute products or vendors


Procurement Operations

  • Facilitate the supplier process by developing agreements for new products, creating Purchase Orders, and placing orders for food products, small wares, and large equipment
  • Administer facility audits to ensure proper procurement standards are in place
  • Implement and set up universal inventory guide systems
  • Act as liaison between vendors and accounts payable department to ensure prompt payment and avoid invoice discrepancies


Strategic Oversight

  • Observe and optimize the total picture of procurement and purchasing departments
  • Make quality decisions regarding purchasing of items for the company
  • Drive cost efficiency while maintaining quality standards across all venues


About You

Essential Experience & Skills:

  • Proven experience in procurement and purchasing, ideally within hospitality, entertainment, or multi-site operations
  • Strong understanding of purchasing philosophy and procurement best practices
  • Quality negotiator with demonstrated ability to secure favorable contract terms
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to interact professionally with internal departments and external contacts
  • Ability to complete heavy workload in fast-paced environment with minimal supervision and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong judgment and decision-making abilities
  • Experience with vendor audits, cost-comparison analysis, and usage reporting
  • Proficiency with procurement systems and inventory management software


Educational Requirements:

  • Minimum Tertiary level education (Bachelor's degree or equivalent)
  • Training and certification in purchasing or procurement procedures

  • Excellent organizational and time management capabilities
