Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Procurement to lead and manage the organisation's procurement function. The role is responsible for developing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, optimizing costs, and ensuring timely procurement of goods and services while maintaining quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals
- Lead and manage the procurement team to ensure efficient sourcing and purchasing
- Oversee supplier selection, negotiation, contracting, and performance evaluation
- Ensure cost optimization without compromising quality or delivery timelines
- Manage procurement of goods, services, and capital expenditures
- Establish and enforce procurement policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Monitor market trends, supplier risks, and alternative sourcing opportunities
- Collaborate with finance, operations, and other departments for planning and budgeting
- Ensure compliance with company policies, legal, and regulatory requirements
- Track procurement KPIs, savings initiatives, and prepare reports for senior management
- Handle critical supplier issues, disputes, and contract renewals
- Drive continuous improvement and digital transformation in procurement processes.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field
- 10–15+ years of procurement experience, with leadership responsibility
- Strong negotiation, vendor management, and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Experience with ERP / procurement systems
- Strategic mindset with hands-on execution capability
