Head of Procurement/Shared Services

Our client, an international investment fund with a 70-person NYC office, is seeking to add a Head of Shared Services/Procurement to help build out their US investment research.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic direction and oversight for enterprise service areas, including Information Technology, Procurement, and Facilities.
  • Design and implement operational frameworks that can grow with the business, ensuring adaptability to shifting priorities and market demands.
  • Lead, coach, and inspire functional leaders, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner across departments to align resources, streamline processes, and eliminate redundancies for greater efficiency.
  • Serve as the U.S. operations representative in global strategy discussions with the Head of Office, ensuring local needs are addressed within the broader enterprise context.
  • Establish and maintain company-wide standards for tracking, managing, and delivering operational projects and strategic initiatives.
  • Monitor performance metrics to ensure the quality, timeliness, and cost-effectiveness of services delivered by internal teams and third-party vendors.
  • Develop integrated strategies for IT, Procurement, and Facilities that are tightly aligned with the organization’s overarching goals.
  • Oversee facilities operations, including vendor management, space planning, office enhancements, and renovation projects to maintain an optimal workplace environment.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
  • 15+ years of progressively senior leadership experience in financial or professional services.
  • Minimum of 8 years managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • Proven record of aligning operational execution with strategic business objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to promote innovation and drive results while cultivating a positive, performance-driven culture.
  • Strong organizational discipline with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills across all levels of an organization.
  • Strategic, analytical thinker with a track record of solving complex challenges and delivering measurable outcomes.
