Head of Production & Technical Operations

The Head of Production & Technical Operations is responsible for ensuring the smooth, efficient, and high-quality operation of the company’s production facilities. This role oversees all production managers and the technical department, ensuring that production targets are consistently met, quality standards are maintained, waste levels are minimized, and all equipment and infrastructure function reliably without disruptions.

Key Responsibilities

Production Management

● Lead and manage all production managers and their teams, ensuring adherence to company SOPs and work instructions

● Deliver the production plan in terms of volume, quality, and timelines

● Ensure all products are produced in line with quality standards and regulatory requirements

● Monitor and minimize production waste, implementing continuous improvement practices

● Analyze production data and provide reports on yields, output, and efficiency

Technical Operations

● Oversee the technical team responsible for equipment, utilities, and infrastructure

● Ensure uninterrupted operation of all technical systems (HVAC, irrigation, lighting, machinery, packaging lines, etc.)

● Develop and implement a preventive and predictive maintenance program

● Lead technical troubleshooting and minimize downtime

● Plan and supervise upgrades, repairs, and new installations

Leadership & Coordination

● Build, lead, and motivate the production and technical teams, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence

● Provide training and guidance to ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, and operational standards

● Collaborate closely with agronomy, logistics, and quality teams to ensure end-to-end efficiency

Compliance & Standards

● Ensure full compliance with food safety (HACCP), health, and environmental standards

● Maintain accurate documentation for audits and certifications

● Enforce workplace safety rules and regulations

Requirements

● Experience in farms or food production (processing/packaging/plant operations)

● At least 3 years in a similar leadership role (production/technical operations)

● Proven experience managing processes, structures, and teams

● Personal car with a valid driver’s license and insurance

Nice to Have

● Knowledge of HACCP/ISO 22000, preventive/predictive maintenance, and Lean/Kaizen

● Strong data & Excel/Google Sheets skills; familiarity with ERP/CMMS

● Hands-on experience with HVAC/irrigation/lighting/packaging lines

● English fluency; additional languages are a plus

Conditions

● Schedule: Monday to Saturday, 08:00AM–6:00PM

● Salary: 15,000 + 9% monthly performance bonus (based on results)
