Job Title: Head of Technical Program Management

About the Role
We are looking for a seasoned leader to head our Technical Program Management (TPM) function. The role demands a strategic thinker with strong execution skills, who can lead large-scale, complex technology initiatives across multiple teams and stakeholders. You will be responsible for building and scaling the TPM organization, driving cross-functional alignment, ensuring timely delivery, and enabling the organization to achieve its technology and business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of Technical Program Managers.
• Drive end-to-end delivery of large, complex, and cross-functional technical programs across engineering, product, and business teams.
• Establish best practices, frameworks, and processes for program management to improve predictability, transparency, and accountability.
• Partner with engineering and product leadership to define roadmaps, set priorities, and align execution with strategic objectives.
• Identify and manage risks, dependencies, and escalations across multiple programs.
• Provide executive-level communication, reporting, and updates on key initiatives.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and operational excellence within the TPM function.
• Enable data-driven decision-making by establishing metrics and KPIs for program success.
Qualifications:
• 15–20 years of total experience, with at least 6–8 years in program management leadership roles in technology-driven organizations.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale, multi-disciplinary, and complex technical programs.
• Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC), agile methodologies, and program management frameworks.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to influence without authority and work effectively with senior executives and cross-functional teams.
• Technical background (engineering/CS degree or equivalent) strongly preferred; MBA is a plus. Key Skills • Technical Program Management Excellence
