Job Title: Head of Quality Assurance (Grain)

Job Summary:

Zarea Limited is looking for an experienced and highly competent Head of Quality Assurance (Grain) to lead, supervise, and enhance the quality operations of all grain categories including rice, wheat, corn, and other agri-commodities. The ideal candidate will ensure the highest standards of product quality, safety, and regulatory compliance while managing end-to-end QA processes. This leadership role is critical for maintaining product integrity, supporting export/import operations, and achieving overall customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the entire Quality Assurance department for grain products.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor QA procedures across all grain categories.
  • Oversee sampling, grading, moisture testing, and laboratory analysis to ensure product consistency.
  • Monitor storage, warehousing, and handling practices to minimize quality risks.
  • Ensure compliance with national and international food safety, inspection, and export standards.
  • Review and approve QA reports for internal teams, clients, and regulatory bodies.
  • Liaise with inspection agencies, supply chain teams, warehouses, and export departments.
  • Provide leadership, training, and performance guidance to QA teams.
  • Ensure alignment with ISO, HACCP, and other quality management systems.

Prerequisites

Education:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Agriculture, Food Sciences, Quality Assurance, or related fields.

Experience:

12–15 years of professional experience specifically in grain quality assurance, grain grading, lab testing, and quality system management.

Requirements / Skills

  • Strong expertise in grain grading standards and inspection protocols.
  • In-depth knowledge of sampling techniques, lab testing, and moisture analysis.
  • Familiarity with export/import documentation, quality certifications, and international grain standards.
  • Ability to identify contamination, infestation, and storage-related risks.
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, and reporting skills.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and team management abilities.
  • Hands-on experience ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and ISO standards.
