Role Overview:

The Head of Sales & Trading will lead the firm’s multi-asset sales and trading function. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth, managing risk, and maintaining strong client relationships across equities, bonds, futures, options, FX, and margin/prime brokerage. The position demands a deep understanding of global markets, strong leadership skills, and the ability to provide clear market insights and guidance to both clients and senior management. The role also requires to identify market opportunities and lead product innovation to expand client offering and ensure pricing transparency, timely execution and adherence to best execution standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Sales & Trading team and set the strategy for revenue growth across all asset classes.
  • Manage daily trading operations, ensuring trades are executed accurately and risk is controlled.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing market insights.
  • Oversee trading books, portfolio exposures, and margin/prime brokerage activities.
  • Monitor global market trends and provide guidance to the team and clients.
  • Provide monthly reports and guidance on desk performance to management.
  • Collaborate with Risk, Compliance, and Product teams to improve processes and trading products.
  • Drive innovation in trading strategies, platforms, and client solutions.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop the team to achieve high performance.


Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
  • 10–15+ years of experience in Sales & Trading.
  • CFA or CMT certification preferred.
  • Must have multi-asset experience, with 10+ years working across equities, bonds, futures, options, FX, and margin/prime brokerage.


Knowledge & Skills:

  • Skilled in using multiple trading platforms, including Bloomberg EMSX and TSOX, and experienced with algorithmic trading.
  • Strong knowledge of financial markets and trading products.
  • Experience managing trading books, client accounts, and risk.
  • Strong understanding of global markets and the ability to explain market views clearly to clients.
  • Very strong, client-relationship driven, with the ability to build and maintain long-term client partnerships.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop a team.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Good understanding of industry rules and compliance requirements.
