Job Purpose:
To have full responsibility for management of one of the QF Schools.
Key Result Areas:

Serve as the face of the school both within and outside of the school community; represent the school at local and international outside events as requested by the VP to create awareness of the school and its activities, and to build the school’s reputation as a center of excellence.

Oversee the development, implementation, and enforcement of school-specific policies & procedures supplemental to QF and PUE policies & procedures.

Ensure the creation of a safe and healthy learning environment and the personal safety of students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

Plan an annual budget, present it to the Management for approval, and oversee expenditures.

Oversee the planning and execution of fundraising activities in order to meet the annual target.

Oversee the preparation of required monthly reports and present them to the Management for use in planning and decision-making.

Provide input into curriculum and recommend & approve the acquisition of teaching and other educational resources.

Oversee the accreditation/authorization process and facilitate access to all information requested by the accreditation committee; may be requested to serve on accreditation committees for the accreditation of other schools.

Be a welcoming presence at major school activities and events, and at as many others as reasonably possible.

Oversee recruitment, hiring, and on-boarding of administrators, faculty and staff; oversee staff evaluations.

Lead regular meetings with administrators and department heads to discuss management issues; respond to and resolve serious and escalated issues as they arise.

Oversee the collection of routine data on students, staff and programs and ensure maintenance of its confidentiality.

Other reasonable tasks as assigned by the VP of QF Schools.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

Master’s degree in a relevant field; PhD in Educational Leadership or Administration preferred.

10 years of experience in international education, five years of which as a school director.

Experience with school accreditation and with International Baccalaureate (IB) authorization.

Outstanding interpersonal, personnel management, and negotiation skills.

Outstanding organization, planning, and time management skills.

Excellent writing skills, with the ability to draft and edit a variety of written reports & communications and articulate ideas clearly and concisely, proficiency in Arabic a plus.

Proficiency in MS Office application.
