m2r Education are working with a well-established international school in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia, who are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Secondary to join their leadership team for the new academic year.

Join a respected international school in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia, offering a high-quality British curriculum education. We are seeking a senior academic leader to oversee the secondary division and drive excellence in teaching, learning, and student outcomes.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall leadership, development, and continuous improvement of the secondary academic programme. You will ensure high standards across curriculum, instruction, and assessment, while supporting both staff performance and student achievement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development, implementation, and review of the secondary curriculum, ensuring alignment with international standards
  • Monitor and improve teaching and learning through observations, data analysis, and academic planning
  • Drive school improvement strategies, including oversight of assessments, examinations, and performance tracking
  • Evaluate, mentor, and support teaching staff, promoting continuous professional development and collaboration
  • Track student progress and implement effective interventions to support achievement and outcomes
  • Maintain strong communication with staff, students, and parents, while supporting wider school operations, recruitment, and planning

Minimum Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Education or a related subject + QTS
  • Proven experience in senior academic leadership within a secondary school setting
  • Proven track record in British international schools or schools that follow the Cambridge international programme
  • Strong background in curriculum development, assessment, and instructional leadership
  • Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents and administration to enhance school performance.
  • Experience working in the Middle East, preferably Saudi Arabia.
