ACWA Power is hiring for a Section Head – I&C (Instrumentation & Control), to be based at Qurayyah IPP (QIPP) Power Plant – Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia.
This role will lead and manage all preventive, corrective, and outage maintenance activities related to I&C systems in a combined cycle power plant environment.
Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily I&C maintenance activities across the plant.

Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance on instrumentation systems.

Lead annual outage and shutdown maintenance for I&C equipment.

Troubleshoot and resolve faults in DCS, PLCs, transmitters, control valves, analyzers, etc.

Create and manage work orders through
SAP (CMMS).

Prepare purchase requisitions for I&C spare parts and consumables.

Ensure availability of critical and strategic spare parts.

Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions.

Supervise and train technicians and ensure performance evaluations are completed.

Support HSE, legal, and IMS (ISO 9001, 14001, OHSAS 18001) compliance.
Technical Competencies Required:

Strong knowledge of DCS (e.g., Siemens, ABB, Yokogawa), PLCs, and field instrumentation.

Proficient in loop checks, calibration, troubleshooting, and logic verification.

Experience with control valves, positioners, actuators, and I/O systems.

Familiar with emission monitoring and environmental compliance systems.

Hands-on experience in combined cycle power plant operations.

Competent in
SAP
for maintenance planning and reporting.

Familiar with HAZOP, HIRA, and risk-based maintenance practices.
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering.

Minimum 8 years of I&C maintenance experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a team leading role.

Combined Cycle / DCS experience preferred.

Strong communication skills in English.

Proficiency in (MS Outlook, Excel, Word).
