About the Role

Universal EV Chargers is seeking a strategic and data-driven Head of SEO, AI & Digital Growth to lead our digital visibility, automation, and growth initiatives across platforms.

In this role, you’ll oversee all aspects of search engine optimization, AI-led content and automation, and digital brand presence—including Google Business and Apple Business Profiles, website performance, and multi-channel visibility. You’ll develop strategies that increase organic reach, streamline digital processes using AI tools, and directly impact how drivers and property owners discover Universal EV Chargers.

This role blends technical SEO expertise, AI experimentation, and growth marketing—ideal for someone who can think strategically, act analytically, and move fast.

Key Responsibilities

SEO & Digital Growth Strategy

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive SEO and digital growth strategy to improve search visibility, domain authority, and traffic across web and mobile platforms.
  • Lead keyword research, on-page optimization, technical SEO audits, and backlinking initiatives.
  • Drive performance on Google Search, Apple Maps, and local directories by ensuring consistency, completeness, and optimization across all listings.
  • Implement structured data, schema, and AI-ready content formats for higher visibility in generative search experiences (SGE, ChatGPT, etc.).

AI Optimization & Automation

  • Integrate AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Jasper, SurferSEO) into the marketing workflow for faster, smarter content creation, audience insights, and keyword clustering.
  • Develop frameworks for AI-assisted local SEO, predictive analytics, and campaign optimization.
  • Experiment with conversational search and generative AI trends to keep Universal EV Chargers ahead of the curve.

Google & Apple Business Profile Management

  • Oversee the creation, optimization, and management of all Google Business Profiles (GBP) and Apple Business Connect listings nationwide.
  • Ensure all locations are verified, accurate, visually engaging, and optimized for maximum local visibility.
  • Publish regular updates, offers, and event posts to drive engagement.
  • Monitor and respond to reviews, resolve verification or suspension issues, and track performance analytics across profiles.

Analytics & Growth Reporting

  • Monitor KPIs, including organic traffic, engagement, search ranking, and conversion metrics.
  • Use Google Analytics, Search Console, and third-party tools to build monthly growth dashboards with actionable insights.
  • Collaborate with content, design, and development teams to improve site performance, load speed, and user experience.

Collaboration & Leadership

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams—content, product, and partnerships—to align digital initiatives with company goals.
  • Lead SEO and AI education within the organization to elevate digital fluency.
  • Stay current on search algorithms, AI advancements, and emerging digital marketing technologies.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in SEO, growth marketing, or digital strategy, with leadership or team management experience.
  • Proven success driving measurable growth in organic traffic and conversions for multi-location or franchise businesses.
  • Deep understanding of local SEO, Google Business Profile, and Apple Business Connect management.
  • Experience leveraging AI tools for content, automation, or analytics.
  • Proficiency in SEO and analytics tools (Google Search Console, Google Analytics, SEMrush, Moz, BrightLocal, etc.).
  • Strong communication, data interpretation, and storytelling skills.
  • Familiarity with HTML, schema markup, and web performance optimization.
