Head Of Software Engineering

About the role:
This role is not about managing daily routines or a 9–5 mindset. Responsibilities:


Technology Strategy Execution

  • Execute the company’s technology strategy in alignment with business goals and priorities.
  • Translate strategic objectives into actionable engineering roadmaps and delivery plans.
  • Partner with senior leadership to support business growth through scalable technology solutions.
  • Engineering Delivery & Operations

  • Lead and manage the end-to-end software development lifecycle ( planning, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance ).
  • Ensure timely, high-quality delivery of products and platforms.
  • Collaborate on defining and own the monitoring of tech department OKRs, KPIs, OLAs, and delivery standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement in development processes across all functions ( Architecture, Development, QA, DevOps, Scrum/Delivery, Data Analytics & BI ).
  • Technical Excellence

  • Establish and maintain architectural integrity and design best practices, ensuring system scalability, application/platform/infrastructure efficiency, and compliance with security regulations and data protection standards.
  • Establish and maintain best practices and high standards for code quality, technical debt management, documentation, and DevOps/DevSecOps practices.
  • Innovation & Technology Advancement

  • Evaluate and implement emerging technologies, tools, and platforms.
  • Lead organizational and digital transformation efforts within the tech department, focusing on modernization and technical capabilities.
  • Establish and maintain a product-first, API-first, and AI-first approach to software development.
  • Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop engineering managers and teams.
  • Build a high-performance culture focused on growth, agility, and excellence.
  • Promote innovation, agility, and continuous learning within the team.
  • Support talent development, succession planning, and retention strategies.


  • Requirements

    Job Specifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree is a plus.
  • 20+ years of experience in software engineering / technology roles.
  • Proven experience leading large engineering teams.
  • Strong experience in architecture, DevOps, and system design.
  • Experience in scaling systems and managing high-availability platforms.
  • Strong expertise in FinTech is a must.
  • Proven track record in leading digital, organizational, and AI transformation initiatives.
  • A “getting things done” and a strong problem-solving mindset is a must.
