Head of Strategy

A leading financial services organisation is seeking to appoint a Head of Strategy & Business Planning to lead corporate strategy and enterprise-wide business planning. This is a newly created role and will play a critical part in shaping the organisation’s medium- and long-term strategic direction, while ensuring effective execution through structured planning, performance management, and data-driven decision-making.

Role Overview

Reporting into senior leadership, this role will be responsible for translating strategic priorities into measurable outcomes, supporting Executive Management and the Board with high-quality insights, analytics, and performance frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of corporate strategy , including medium- and long-term strategic planning.
• Own and drive the annual business planning cycle , performance management framework, KPIs, and Balanced Scorecard.
• Ensure alignment between strategy, enterprise architecture, and data management , enabling informed and timely decision-making.
• Leverage business analytics and insights to support Executive Committee and Board-level discussions.
• Partner closely with senior stakeholders across the organisation to align strategic priorities with operational execution.
• Support governance, reporting, and strategic initiatives within a Central Bank–regulated environment .

Candidate Profile

• Emirati with Khulasat Al Qaid (mandatory).
• 10–15 years of experience within banking or financial services , ideally in a Central Bank–regulated environment.
• Strong background in strategy, business planning, performance management, analytics, and KPI frameworks .
• Proven ability to operate at Executive Committee and Board level , influencing decision-making through insight and structure.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
