Deccan AI is a model training and eval startup headquartered in the Bay Area. We are founded by IIT Bombay, IIM Ahmedabad and ex-Google alumni, and work with some of the top AI frontier labs in the world, e.g. Google Deepmind, Snowflake, and many more. We are backed by Prosus Ventures, and our India delivery office is in Hyderabad. Most of our roles are on-site i.e. Bay Area / Hyderabad.

We are seeking an experienced and driven Head of Supply to lead and scale our supply function. The ideal candidate will bring a strong general management background combined with startup experience to build and execute supply strategies that drive operational excellence and business growth.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum 8 years of general management experience with proven leadership at a senior level
• Prior startup experience is essential, with a track record of thriving in fast-paced, high-growth environments
• Demonstrated experience in leading mid-sized teams of 10 or more people effectively
• Top-tier educational credentials, preferably from IITs or equivalent institutions
• Strong problem-solving skills; experience in management consulting is a strong plus
• A hardcore executor mindset, owning end-to-end responsibility for the supply function
• Willingness and ability to work long hours dedicated to building and scaling the function

Responsibilities:

• Lead the supply team and own the overall supply chain, procurement, and vendor management processes
• Develop and implement strategies to ensure reliable, cost-effective supply aligned with business goals
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, operations, and finance teams to optimize supply metrics
• Drive continuous process improvements and operational efficiencies in supply management
• Build, mentor, and grow a high-performing supply team that can meet the demands of rapid scale
