Chief Supply Chain Officer - Agriculture

We are currently hiring on behalf of a leading fresh fruit and vegetables importing and exporting company in Egypt with operations in Egypt and international markets.

Job Overview:

The Chief Supply Chain Officer will be responsible for designing and executing the company’s end-to-end supply chain strategy in alignment with corporate vision and long-term business objectives. This role requires a strategic leader capable of driving transformation, optimizing supply chain processes, and building resilient systems that support growth and competitiveness in local and international markets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute the company’s supply chain strategy aligned with corporate objectives.
• Design long-term plans to secure operational and logistical requirements.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement contingency plans to ensure business continuity.
• Establish procurement policies and lead negotiations with suppliers.
• Evaluate, select, and periodically approve suppliers to ensure quality and reliability.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure availability of raw materials and finished goods.
• Implement effective inventory management systems to minimize waste and losses.
• Collaborate with production teams to ensure timely availability of required materials.
• Develop advanced resource planning systems to enhance supply chain efficiency.
• Optimize transportation operations to reduce costs and improve performance.
• Oversee key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor supply chain effectiveness and team performance.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 15 years of experience in Supply Chain within agriculture, food production, or FMCG fields is a must.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• A Master of Business Administration (MBA) is highly preferred.
• Professional certifications such as CSCP, CPSM, or Six Sigma are highly preferred
• Strong track record in supplier relationship management, contract negotiation, and cost optimization.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to drive large-scale organizational change.
