Logistics Manager

Industry: Importer and exporter for fresh fruit and vegetables.

Location: El Sheikh Zayed, Egypt

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement logistics plans for shipping and export operations.
• Coordinate with various departments to ensure product availability according to scheduled timelines.
• Select and manage relationships with transport companies and sea freight providers.
• Negotiate shipping rates and logistics service agreements to achieve cost efficiency.
• Oversee the preparation and accuracy of export documentation.
• Monitor inventory levels in cold storage facilities to ensure proper stock control.
• Ensure proper storage and packaging processes in compliance with export standards.
• Track shipments to their final destinations, ensuring timely delivery and preventing damages or delays.
• Prepare regular reports on logistics performance and key operational KPIs.
• Manage interactions with shipping agents, shipping lines, and port authorities.
• Stay updated on customs regulations and export laws related to agricultural products.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics, preferably in export operations within the agricultural or FMCG sector.
• Strong knowledge of international shipping and customs regulations.
• Proficiency in logistics software and ERP systems.
• Familiarity with cold chain logistics and inventory control.
• Solid understanding of export documentation processes.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
