Job Mission
As the Head of Transformation and Commercial Excellence for Roche Pharma Egypt, you will play a key leadership role in enabling the realization of the different disease area (DA) strategies into impactful, integrated execution with excellence.
You will act as a strategic partner and enterprise integrator—driving business planning, communication, capability building, and operational excellence to ensure a patient-centric, agile, and future-ready organization.
You will lead the Transformation and commercial excellence function that supports, facilitates and enables the DA teams in setting bold, measurable goals that deliver value for both patients and customers.
In collaboration with the head of people and culture, you will also steward enterprise cultural transformation, embedding the mindset and behaviors needed for sustainable success.
As the Head of Transformation & Commercial Excellence, you will report directly to the General Manager and play a pivotal role as a key member of the Executive Enabling Team. In this role, you will lead a team of 6-8 Senior Managers, spinning around 4 functions; Communications, Capability Building, Business enablement/ commercial excellence & Operations Administration teams.
Your Impact
Executive Leadership and Strategic Contribution
Serve as an executive leader within the Enabling Team, actively contributing to enterprise-level strategy and decision-making.
Co-lead the development of a compelling, inclusive affiliate strategy—grounded in cross-functional input and aligned with the company’s long-term mission and ambition.
Role-models enterprise leadership by balancing functional priorities with broader organizational impact.
Maintain and strengthen the affiliate’s culture through continuous employee listening and engagement sensing, helping to prioritize and embed key behaviors.
Foster a culture of accountability, inclusivity, and continuous improvement within the Enabling Team and across the organization.
Strategic Organizational Enablement
Act as a facilitator and co-enabler to the annual organizational long term strategic directions and translates them into actionable roadmaps, in liaison with the Head of Integrated Portfolio Strategy and Head of Customer Engagement and Healthcare Solutions.
Lead the systemic planning cycles across the affiliate, act a champion for execution excellence through embedding agile principles and continuous improvement into how teams operate, to ensure alignment with the business aspirations.
Work closely with portfolio strategy, marketing, medical, market access, and other enabling functions to ensure integrated planning and execution that reflects customer needs and delivers business impact.
Commercial Excellence Realization
Ensure that the organization is fully equipped with the right resources, capabilities, and tools to support the commercial teams throughout the entire value chain—from the initial strategy formulation to the successful realization of business outcomes. This includes guiding cross-functional teams to translate strategic plans into actionable initiatives that deliver measurable and sustainable value to customers and patients.
Ensure that the strategic capability building programs are both aligned to serve our business objectives together with tackle our people development needs and future talent readiness.
Executively set the strategy and oversee the commercial capabilities development and individual plans execution and progress across the different customer facing role requirements.
Enable a culture of excellence by embedding best practices, fostering continuous improvement, and driving the adoption of innovative approaches—whether through data-driven decision-making, customer insights, or optimized commercial processes.
Ensure that commercial activities are aligned with broader business objectives and patient needs, resulting in impactful outcomes that strengthen the company’s market position and improve patient access and experience.
Coordinate and mobilize dedicated resources—such as analytics, training, digital tools, and performance management—to empower teams to execute with agility and precision.
Create an integrated ecosystem where commercial excellence is a key driver of growth and patient impact through maintaining close collaboration with stakeholders across medical, marketing, sales, and operations.
Capability and Culture Advocacy
Set the strategy and drive the execution of the Strategic Capabilities Framework through the capability-building team via training cascades, in-field mentoring, and coaching.
Lead the enablement function responsible for supporting disease area teams from strategy formulation through to execution and realization of excellence.
Continuously assess customer-facing team needs and gaps to prioritize strategic capabilities, competencies, and behaviors that foster a collaborative culture and deliver impactful outcomes executed with excellence.
Inspire, craft and cultivate a high-performance culture that balances strategic thinking with agility and adaptability.
Champion a continuous learning environment where growth, feedback, and psychological safety drive effective team dynamics and sustained success.
Inspire and embed Working by Outcomes
Oversee the integration of the business enabling coaches across the different DA pods to enhance speed and focus on outcomes realization that are impactful for our Cxs and patients.
Guide teams through the adoption of WBO, including iterative planning, empowered decision-making, and collaborative value delivery.
Ensure that the strategic capability building programs are both aligned to serve our business objectives together with tackle our people development needs & future talent readiness.
Communications and Engagement Leadership
Oversee and enable both internal and external corporate communications, ensuring strategic consistency, transparency, and relevance across stakeholders.
Challenge and co-enable creating the suitable corporate narrative and Roche’s purposeful storyline inspiring teams, strengthen the company’s reputation, and reinforce the company’s commitment to patients and science.
Act as the voice of the organizations’ culture, vision and strategic direction.
License to Operate
Ensure integrity, compliance and maintain our license to operate in any external engagements, partnerships, collaborations, interfaces, decisions, negotiations, and contracting in Egypt.
Ensure that the function proactively engages with internal compliance and legal resources to ensure full compliance before taking action and/or committing Roche to activities externally.
Who You Are
Educational Background: You hold a degree in Strategic Management, HR, International Business, Operations, or a related field; an MBA or specialization in Advanced Organization Design is preferred.
Experience: You bring 13+ years of experience across HR, or commercial & strategic planning functions. A minimum of 2–3 years serving as a member of an executive leadership team is essential. You have a proven track record in strategic sales, business transformation, and commercial leadership. Fluency in English is considered a strong asset.
Strategic Agility: You are a strategic and systems thinker, capable of connecting the dots across functions and geographies. You design empowered, agile organizations, scale operating models, and ensure outcome-focused execution in complex, fast-paced environments.
Enterprise Transformation: You have wealth of experience in leading an enterprise-wide business or cultural transformations, fostering transparent, value-driven, and inclusive cultures that prioritize growth, empowerment, accountability, and experimentation.
Inspiring & Influencing: You are recognized for building trust, earning followership, and leading high-impact, cross-functional initiatives across matrix environments. You excel in coaching, networking, and inspiring collaboration among diverse internal and external stakeholders.
