Head - Operations (Smart Solutions)

Job Summary : The role is responsible for end-to-end delivery of ELV/AV projects (Security, ICT, AV, BMS interfaces, Low-Current Systems), ensuring on-time delivery, cost control, quality compliance, and client satisfaction, while driving operational excellence and profitability.


Key Accountabilities:

  • Oversee planning, execution, and closure of all projects.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and per scope.
  • Approve project schedules, methodologies, and delivery plans.
  • Resolve escalated technical, resource, and site issues.
  • Own project cost control, margin protection, and cash flow.
  • Review budget vs actual cost, cost-to-complete, and forecasts revenue with PM’s.
  • Identify and mitigate cost overruns, variations, and commercial risks.
  • Support invoicing, claims, and variation approvals.
  • Plan and optimize manpower, subcontractors, and technical resources.
  • Work closely with Solutions Manager for ongoing pipeline and how to be ready for committed projects.
  • Ensure correct skill mix and utilization across projects.
  • Approve manpower mobilization and demobilization plans.
  • Ensure timely procurement of Projects materials and systems in coordination with PM’s.
  • Monitor vendor performance, delivery schedules, and compliance.
  • Prevent unapproved procurement or scope deviations.
  • Enforce quality standards, method statements, and inspections.
  • Ensure compliance with local authorities, consultants, and client specs across all projects.
  • Drive HSE compliance across all sites.
  • Lead audits, NCR closure, and corrective actions with PM’s.
  • Act as senior operational point of contact for key clients and consultants.
  • Participate in progress meetings and escalation management.
  • Ensure client satisfaction and proactive issue resolution.
  • Support business development with technical and operational inputs.
  • Conduct weekly/monthly projects review meetings with PMs.
  • Monitor projects KPIs (cost, schedule, quality, risk).
  • Ensure timely and accurate operational reporting to management with correct data.
  • Implement standardized project control frameworks.
  • Drive operational efficiency and process improvements.
  • Implement lessons learned to avoid repeat issues.
  • Standardize best practices across all projects.
  • Promote a collaborative and performance-driven culture.


Qualification, Experience and Skills:


Essential Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, computer engineering, electronics, computer science
  • Certified PMP


Desirable Qualification: Master’s degree in a relevant field; MBA in Strategy or Business management degree is a plus.


Work Experience:

  • 10-15 years of experience in smart solutions, delivery projects with successful records.
  • Previous experience as an operation lead or managing other PM’s.
  • Previous experience in government projects, construction projects.
  • Previous project with 30-50 M projects value with fully engagement of project cycles.


Technical skills required to perform the role:

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Track record of successfully expanding service offerings and driving Operation
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality services to clients.
  • Microsoft power point, Excel reporting, CAD, PDF … Microsoft office as overall
  • Ability of writing official letters.
  • Reading contracts and ability to identify risk & challenges
