As the Head Waiter at Rosa's Thai Restaurant, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests. Responsibilities:
- Lead, train, and inspire the wait staff, setting a positive example for professionalism and service excellence.
- Conduct pre-shift meetings to communicate expectations and objectives for the shift.
- Ensure that guests receive a warm welcome and attentive service, exceeding their expectations.
- Address guest feedback and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Monitor and ensure the accuracy of orders, verifying that all special requests and modifications are properly conveyed to the kitchen.
- Train and encourage the wait staff in effective upselling techniques to enhance the restaurant's average order value.
- Monitor sales data and strategize ways to increase guest spending.
- Manage guest reservations, optimize table assignments and accommodating special requests.
- Maintain an organized reservation system and communicate effectively with the hostess.
- Conduct training sessions for new hires, focusing on service standards, menu knowledge, and hospitality etiquette.
- Provide ongoing coaching to enhance the team's skills and knowledge.
- Ensure that tables are set and presented according to the restaurant's standards for cleanliness and aesthetics.
- Oversee table decorations and ambiance to create a welcoming atmosphere.
- Supervise cash handling procedures, ensuring accuracy and security during transactions.
- Assist in resolving billing discrepancies and handling guest payments as needed.
- Implement the restaurant's sequence of service to maintain a consistent and exceptional guest experience.
- Monitor service steps, timing, and overall guest satisfaction.
- Ensure that the restaurant adheres to health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe and sanitary environment for guests and staff.
