The Head Waiter is responsible for supervising the front-of-house service team to ensure smooth, efficient, and high-quality dining service. The role ensures excellent guest experience, maintains service standards, and supports daily restaurant operations by coordinating between staff and management.
Key Responsibilities:1. Team Supervision
- Supervise and guide waiters during service
- Allocate tables and assign duties efficiently
- Monitor performance and maintain discipline
- Support training of junior staff
2. Guest Service
- Ensure high-level guest satisfaction at all times
- Handle guest complaints professionally and promptly
- Maintain hospitality standards and service etiquette
3. Service Operations
- Ensure restaurant is fully ready before service (mise-en-place)
- Oversee table setup, cleanliness, and order flow
- Coordinate smoothly with kitchen and bar
- Ensure correct order taking and timely service
4. Quality Control
- Maintain company service standards and SOP compliance
- Ensure staff grooming and uniform standards
- Follow hygiene and safety regulations strictly
5. Communication & Coordination
- Act as a link between management and service team
- Communicate daily updates, special requests, and VIP tables
- Assist in shift briefing and handover
Requirements:
- Previous experience as Senior Waiter / Head Waiter
- Strong leadership and customer service skills
- Good knowledge of restaurant operations and service flow
- Ability to handle pressure in a busy environment
- Good communication skills (English required; Arabic is a plus)
- Presentable and professional appearance
