Health and Physical Education Teacher (Paternity Leave Replacement)

The Deron School of N.J., Inc., an approved private school for students with disabilities, ages 3-21 is seeking applicants for a Long Term Replacement Health and Physical Education teacher in our Montclair Campus (Ages 12-21). The applicant should possess the ability to multi-task and excel in a fast paced environment, as well as, maintain high standards for teaching and learning. Experience with ABA programming a plus.

• Provide a safe and nurturing environment for staff and students.
• Prepare and present lessons in Physical Education and Health for Middle School and High School Age students with special needs. (There is a Physical Education Teacher to offer support.)
• Adapt activities to meet the needs of special learners.
• Supervise and assist staff with the instruction of students in both Health and Physical Education.
• Assist in preparing report cards and progress reports.
• Working with other Physical Education Teacher to provide students with a meaningful experience in learning to live a happy and safe life.

3 Months: January, February, March, 2026

Schedule: 8:15am to 3:15pm

Must have a New Jersey Teaching Certification or New Jersey Substitute Certification
