Key Responsibilities
- Inspect facilities, machinery, equipment, and work practices to identify potential hazards (e.g., chemical, physical, ergonomic, or radiation risks).
- Investigate industrial accidents, injuries, or occupational diseases to determine causes and recommend preventive measures.
- Design or recommend safety features for new machinery, equipment, products, or processes to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Evaluate product designs and worksites for safety, including testing air quality, noise levels, temperature, or radiation.
- Conduct or coordinate worker training on safety laws, regulations, hazardous conditions, and proper use of protective equipment.
- Review and maintain knowledge of current health and safety policies, regulations (e.g., OSHA), and industrial processes.
- Report findings from inspections, accident investigations, or environmental testing, and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with management, engineers, and employees to implement safety programs and improve existing ones.
Qualifications and Skills
- Education: Bachelor's degree in any field with specialized qualification in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS)
