Health and Safety Engineer

The Health and Safety Engineer at Nawy Real Estate is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining health and safety programs to ensure a safe working environment across all company projects and operations. This role involves identifying hazards, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with local and international safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and enforce health and safety policies, procedures, and standards in alignment with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of construction sites and facilities to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance.
  • Perform risk assessments and implement control measures to mitigate identified safety risks.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Provide health and safety training and awareness programs to employees, subcontractors, and site personnel.
  • Monitor adherence to safety regulations and conduct periodic reviews to update safety management systems.
  • Collaborate with project teams to integrate safety considerations into project planning and execution.
  • Stay updated with industry safety standards, laws, and best practices to enhance the company’s safety culture.

Requirements


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Safety Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in health and safety engineering, preferably within construction or real estate development.
  • Strong knowledge of local and international health and safety regulations and standards.
  • Certification in occupational health and safety (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) is highly desirable.
  • Excellent risk assessment and incident investigation skills.
  • Effective communication and training skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
