Health and Safety Officer

Job Duties & Respobsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with camp safety rules, procedures, and HSE policies.
• Conduct daily inspections of rooms, kitchens, electrical rooms, storage areas, and common facilities.
• Identify hazards and report safety violations immediately.
• Ensure proper use of PPE by staff and contractors.
• Inspect fire extinguishers, emergency exits, fire alarms, and ensure they are functional.
• Support in organizing fire drills and emergency response training.
• Coordinate with Civil Defense when required.
• Prepare daily / weekly safety reports and inspection checklists.
• Report incidents, near-misses, and unsafe actions/conditions.
• Maintain proper documentation for safety compliance.
• Conduct toolbox talks and basic safety briefings for camp employees.
• Promote a culture of safety and cleanliness inside the camp.
• Coordinate with maintenance for safety-related repairs.
• Ensure contractors follow camp safety requirements.
• Support camp management in resolving safety concerns.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Safety certifications are a must, such as:
• NEBOSH IGC (Preferred)
• IOSH Managing Safely
• OSHA
• First Aid & Fire Safety
• 1–3 years of experience in camp safety, accommodation safety, or similar roles.
• Good knowledge of UAE Civil Defense safety regulations.
• Strong communication and reporting skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED4,000.00 per month
