Summary: You will be part in maintaining a safe and healthy workplace by following and enforcing company policies and procedures. Your key responsibilities will include documenting incidents through detailed reports and participating in various activities aimed at preventing accidents and minimizing losses. Your primary position will be at the guard post, where you will serve as the first point of contact for all visitors, transportation carriers, and other personnel entering the site. In this capacity, you will verify their identification and purpose for being on the premises. You will also ensure that they have the appropriate credentials and resources needed for their visit.

Responsibilities:

• Safety Coordinators address workplace health and safety by working to prevent accidents and incidents. Their responsibilities include:
  • Teaching supervisors and managers about established policies
  • Presenting safety training sessions
  • Ensuring compliance with OSHA, federal, and state regulations
  • Verifying that employees consistently follow safety protocols

Qualifications:

• Associate degree in criminal justice, Business, or related field, or equivalent work experience, Preferred
• 2+ years of Safety experience is required
• 2+ years of experience working in a distribution or industrial setting; preferred
• First Aid or ability to obtain within 6 months
• Valid Driver’s License, Preferred

Work Environment:

This position is located in an active industrial distribution center with moderate to high noise levels, temperature variations, and material handling equipment in operation. The role may require extended periods of standing or walking on concrete floors and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses and steel-toed boots. The fast-paced environment involves time-sensitive and safety sensitive operations and may include various shift schedules to support production and distribution needs.

Pay: $23.00-$25.00/hr

Schedule: Mon-Fri 8 am-430pm are the core hours.

Must be willing to work overtime, cover shifts as needed, and work weekends as needed.
