Health Safety Environment Officer

Ali & Sons Marine Engineering Factory (ASMEF), a subsidiary of Ali & Sons Holding LLC, is a leading provider of engineering, fabrication, and ship repair services for the oil & gas and marine sectors. We are seeking a proactive and safety-driven HSE Officer for an offshore project to ensure all operations are conducted in compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards while promoting a strong safety culture across projects.


Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and enforce HSE policies, procedures, and company standards across all site and offshore activities.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
  • Ensure compliance with UAE regulations, client requirements, and international HSE standards.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and prepare detailed reports with corrective and preventive actions.
  • Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness training for employees and contractors.
  • Monitor proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adherence to safe work practices.
  • Maintain HSE documentation, reports, and records for audits and compliance purposes.
  • Coordinate with project teams, supervisors, and management on all HSE-related matters.
  • Promote continuous improvement in safety practices and awareness across the organization.
  • Assist in emergency response planning, drills, and implementation of preventive measures.
  • Ensure environmental compliance, including waste management and pollution control practices.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the HSE Manager or Project Manager.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Diploma or Degree in Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 4-6 years of HSE experience in offshore, marine, fabrication, or oil & gas projects.
  • Certification: NEBOSH / IOSH / OSHA or equivalent certifications preferred.
  • Mandatory Requirement: ADNOC approval is required.
  • Strong knowledge of UAE HSE regulations and international safety standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to identify hazards and implement effective control measures.
  • Proficient in MS Office and HSE reporting systems.
  • Fluency in English (mandatory); Arabic is an advantage.
