Health, Safety & Environment Officer (Construction)

• Working Days: Saturday to Thursday
• Working Hours: 10 hours per day (6:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
• Salary: QAR 4,000 - QAR 5000 per month

Job Overview

A reputable construction company in Qatar is looking to hire a competent and proactive HSE Officer for a major Power Plant & Water Treatment Plant construction project.

Key Responsibilities

• Enforce project and company HSE policies
• Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits
• Supervise safety during excavation, foundation, and structural works
• Monitor crane, lifting, and heavy equipment operations
• Ensure compliance during hot work, confined space, and work-at-height activities
• Manage Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems
• Conduct toolbox talks and safety inductions
• Investigate incidents and prepare corrective action reports
• Maintain accurate HSE documentation and reports

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of HSE experience in industrial construction (Mandatory)
• Experience in Power Plants, Water Treatment Plants, Substations, or heavy industrial projects
• Valid NEBOSH IGC Certification (Mandatory)
• Strong knowledge of excavation, scaffolding, lifting operations, and mechanical installation safety
• Experience handling high-risk activities
• Good knowledge of international HSE standards and local regulations
• Strong communication and reporting skills
