The Role
As the
HSE Manager
, you will oversee and manage all health, safety, and environmental operations across the resort. You will ensure compliance with local and international regulations, Red Sea Global Hospitality standards, and ISO certifications. Your responsibilities will include developing HSE policies, conducting audits, leading training programs, implementing preventive measures, and fostering a culture of safety and sustainability across all departments.
Key Areas of Responsibilities:
Health & Safety Management

Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive HSE policies, procedures, and protocols across the resort operations.

Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with local, national, and international safety regulations.

Manage emergency preparedness programs, including fire safety, evacuation procedures, first aid, and medical response.

Investigate incidents and near-misses, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.

Monitor workplace safety practices and ensure all team members follow personal protective equipment (PPE) and operational safety guidelines.

Prepare HSE reports, metrics, and dashboards for management review.
Environmental Management
-
Implement and oversee environmental sustainability initiatives aligned with the resort’s green and regenerative tourism goals.

Monitor energy, water, and waste management practices, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and standards.

Promote eco-friendly practices in cleaning, operations, and departmental procedures.
-
Conduct environmental audits and prepare reports for management and regulatory authorities.
Training & Awareness
-
Develop, coordinate, and deliver HSE training programs for all staff, including contractors and seasonal employees.

Foster a culture of safety, environmental responsibility, and sustainability across all operations.

Ensure all team members are trained in emergency response, workplace safety, and environmental protocols.
Compliance & Certification
-
Maintain ISO certifications and ensure readiness for audits (e.g., ISO 45001 Occupational Health & Safety Management System).

Liaise with external authorities and third-party consultants for inspections, audits, and compliance reviews.

Ensure timely updates of HSE manuals, procedures, and records in line with regulatory and organizational requirements.
Incident & Risk Management
-
Identify potential hazards and risks in operations, food production, guest services, and facility management.
-
Develop risk mitigation strategies, including SOPs, preventive maintenance, and monitoring systems.
-
Coordinate incident reporting and emergency response with internal and external stakeholders.
Collaboration & Leadership
-
Work closely with all operational departments to implement HSE policies and ensure compliance.

Lead and mentor a team of HSE officers and coordinators, driving accountability and continuous improvement.

Advise management on HSE matters and support decision-making to maintain operational safety and environmental integrity.
Key Qualifications
Education & Experience:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Management, or a related field.
-
Minimum 5 years of experience in HSE management, preferably in hospitality, resort, or large operational environments.

Proven experience with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, or equivalent safety and environmental management systems.
Core Skills & Competencies:

Strong knowledge of occupational health, safety regulations, and environmental management standards.

Ability to lead audits, inspections, and corrective action programs.

Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
-
Strong organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Proficiency in HSE software and reporting tools.

Proactive problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Preferred Qualifications:

Certification in HSE, Safety Leadership, or Environmental Management (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, Lead Auditor).

Experience in luxury hotel/resort operations.

Knowledge of sustainability programs and eco-friendly operational practices.

Multilingual abilities (Arabic and English preferred).
