What You'll Do:
The purpose of this role is to assist and support the VP Corporate Global H&S on driving high standards of occupational H&S in the Middle & Far East region across the TKO portfolio, thereby ensuring protection of people and the business. This includes ensuring compliance with appropriate legislation and TKO H&S policy and regular engagement with business units across the region, including visits to business units in person. The incumbent will provide bespoke advice, support and assistance to business units and Corporate H&S as required, including the sharing of H&S learning and good practice, accident and incident investigation, trend analysis and other functions.
• Assist and support the VP Corporate Global H&S in understanding the H&S opportunities and challenges across the TKO portfolio in the Middle & Far East region and assist in the formulating and execution of prioritised plans to deliver continual H&S improvement • Assist the VP Corporate Global H&S to promote TKO’s H&S strategy and policy by encouraging a strong H&S culture and being a proponent of good practice • Collaborate with Risk Management, Security, Facilities, HR, Legal and other Shared Services on H&S matters as required • Assist the VP Corporate Global H&S to formulate and set short and long-term H&S goals, objectives, plans and initiatives to ensure legal and TKO policy compliance • Assist the VP Corporate Global H&S to continually identify and evaluate H&S risks and work collaboratively with business units to address them • Assist the VP Corporate Global H&S to set and monitor key H&S performance indicators (KPIs) and evaluate the effectiveness of measures and initiatives to achieve them • As directed by the VP Corporate Global H&S, provide intimate H&S support to business units on bespoke projects or events as required • Assist the VP Corporate Global H&S to conduct H&S training needs analysis to develop and deliver targeted H&S training to business units and individuals in the Middle & Far East region • Assist the VP Corporate Global H&S to ensure that TKO businesses have access to appropriate sources of competent advice • Assist with the vetting and assessment of subcontractors used by TKO in the Middle & Far East region • Assist the VP Corporate Global H&S to gather and analyse data from business units on H&S performance, identifying positive and negative trends so that lessons can be learned and good practice shared • As directed by the VP Corporate Global H&S, visit TKO businesses and events to review management of safety and the effectiveness of arrangements • Support the VP Corporate Global H&S with oversight of H&S and compliance in buildings and offices in the EMEA region, i.e. First Aid, Fire Warden arrangements, etc • Participate in consultation with employees on H&S matters • Participate and provide guidance to managers on accident investigations to ensure lessons are learned and shared • As directed by the VP Corporate Global H&S, engage with local and government authorities and regulatory bodies as required • Advise on requirements and specifications of safety equipment and Personal Protective Equipment
Unusual Challenges or Circumstances e.g. shift(s)/ unsocial hours/ travel etc • Unsocial hours occasionally required due to event timings, time zones, etc • Possible travel to countries in the Middle & Far East region
Key Results Areas • Minimising work-related H&S accidents and incidents • Full legal and regulatory H&S compliance by TKO entities operating in the Middle & Far East region • Providing H&S training to business units and individuals • Partnering closely with other Shared Services (e.g. Compliance, Corporate Security, Legal, Risk Management, Human Resources, Facilities, etc) and external regulatory agencies to ensure TKO complies with legal mandates to provide a safe work environment
You Have These: • H&S/OSHA qualification, such as NEBOSH IGC (International General Cert) • Experience of delivering effective safety advice to a diverse and geographically dispersed organisation • Experience of delivering H&S at major sporting events and/or in hospitality and/or in TV production • Experience of delivering training content to all levels of seniority • Experience in accident/incident investigation and analysis of results to prevent recurrence • A confident communicator, both written and oral • Competent using Microsoft Office applications • Problem solving - ability to think critically and identify solutions • Ability to balance the creative/editorial vision with operational safety compliance • A flexible and pragmatic approach to fast moving and evolving operational requirements • Ability to work within a small team at times under pressure to tight deadlines
