Overview Implement and enforce HSE programs to protect personnel, assets and the environment across operations and construction sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments (JSA/JHA); report findings and track corrective actions.
- Enforce compliance with Qatari HSE regulations and company safety policies; support ISO 45001 requirements.
- Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks, training and awareness programs; maintain training records.
- Investigate incidents and near-misses, perform root-cause analysis, prepare incident reports and recommend preventive measures.
- Support permit-to-work systems, hot-work controls, confined space entry and lockout/tagout procedures.
- Monitor PPE use, ensure safety signage and safety equipment are in place and maintained.
- Liaise with contractors to verify HSE performance and pre-qualification compliance.
- Maintain HSE documentation, prepare KPI reports, and support management reviews.
- Assist with emergency response planning, drills and coordination with local emergency services.
- Promote a positive safety culture through coaching and visible leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science or related field.
- 2+ years HSE experience, preferably in construction, facilities or industrial environments in the GCC.
- NEBOSH IGC, IOSH or equivalent certification preferred.
- Knowledge of local HSE regulations and best practices.
- Strong communication, observation and report-writing skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- First Aid/CPR, Fire Safety, and H2S awareness certifications.
- Experience with HSE reporting systems and incident management tools.
- Arabic language skills or prior experience working in the Middle East.
