Management Systems

• Ensure 100% achievement of site safety leading and lagging indicators targets as defined in LogiSafe including reporting of Hazards, SBOs, Near Miss, Incidents.
• Perform risk assessment of their sites as per the defined procedure. Review and maintain risk assessment in every quarter.
• Prepare a monthly site safety performance report as per defined UPL agenda.
• Assist DC Manager in conducting internal safety audits (MMR/ MMS) and assist site in addressing the gaps as identified in warehouse safety audits.
• Update route journey management plan (JMP) taking feedback from drivers and share with UPL safety team for review.
• Ensure effective implementation of developed safety SOPs, Guidelines, Standards and conduct their trainings.
• Ensure updated Emergency Response Team (ERT) with display at site. Review and update site Emergency Response Plan (ERP) on quarterly basis.
• Keep strong tracking of CAPA (Actions) arriving from various input sources in LogiSafe and ensure actions closures as per the set timelines.
• Ensure 100% vehicle inspection of reporting vehicles on LogiSafe and conduct weekly recon audit to verify compliance fulfilment.

Trainings & Development

• Conduct 100% site safety orientation training for new joiners in warehousing as per defined module.
• Conduct and ensure 100% Pre/ Post trip safety briefing to Primary and Secondary fleet drivers.
• Conduct at least 01 class-room safety training per week (min. 45min) and ensure at least 02 safety toolbox talks (15-20min) per day as per defined plan.
• Conduct and ensure at least 01 emergency drill as per defined plan at site to achieve monthly site target.

Operational Safety

• Conduct daily area safety inspection as per defined checklist and ensure fortnightly safety walkthrough of overall warehousing site along-with DC Manager.
• Ensure to conduct monthly inspection of fire equipment and electrical installations and maintain records.
• Conduct the lux survey of their site and prepare a report for review at least twice a year. Ensure 3P inspection/ examination of Fire systems on quarterly basis, 3P examination of MHEs/ Racking/ Cargo Lifts on yearly basis, Earth pits testing on bi-annual basis.
• Conduct safety engagement activities along-with UPL safety team during world global days.
• Perform JHA and permits verification for the site non-routine activities and maintain a log of permit-to-work.
• Notify an incident on immediate basis to UPL safety team. Participate in incident reporting and investigation related to all incidents at site and ensure timely reporting and investigation in LogiSafe.
• Conduct random spot check verification at site to see whether the vehicle on dock is in line with vehicle inspection carried out.
