Healthcare Administrator

Join our dynamic healthcare organization as a Healthcare Administrator, where you will lead the operational and administrative functions of our medical and dental practices. This vital role combines strategic oversight with hands-on management to ensure seamless clinic operations, compliance with healthcare regulations, and exceptional patient care. As a key leader, you will coordinate financial management, staff supervision, and medical office processes to foster a productive and compliant environment. Your expertise will help optimize practice efficiency while maintaining the highest standards of healthcare management.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily clinic operations, including scheduling, patient flow, and administrative workflows to ensure smooth functioning.
  • Manage fiscal responsibilities such as budgeting, financial reporting, billing, and revenue cycle management using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like eClinicalWorks or Epic.
  • Supervise medical office staff, including receptionists, medical assistants, nurses, and administrative support personnel; provide training and performance evaluations.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain the confidentiality of medical records and patient information.
  • Coordinate with healthcare providers to optimize practice management, including utilization management and managed care processes.
  • Oversee human resources functions such as hiring, onboarding, staff scheduling, and conflict resolution within the clinic setting.
  • Maintain accreditation standards (e.g., JCAHO) by implementing quality assurance protocols and managing clinical documentation accurately.
  • Utilize EMR/EHR systems effectively to manage patient data, medical records, billing information, and appointment scheduling.

Skills

  • Extensive experience in medical office management with proficiency in EMR/EHR systems like eClinicalWorks, Dentrix, or Epic.
  • Strong fiscal management skills including budgeting, financial analysis, and revenue cycle oversight.
  • Proven supervising experience in healthcare settings with excellent leadership capabilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations such as HIPAA and JCAHO standards.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and clinical workflows across various specialties including acute care or dental clinics.
  • Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams within a healthcare environment effectively.
  • Experience in managing human resources functions related to healthcare staff recruitment and development.
