Job Opportunity: Hearing Attorney

Location: Remote-friendly | Type: Full-Time | Team: Claims & Customer Experience

About Claimify

At Claimify, we’re reimagining what it means to support people navigating the disability benefits process. As a fast-growing, tech-enabled company, we bridge the gap between insurers and individuals with clarity, compassion, and data-driven tools that simplify decision-making and drive real results.

Our mission is to create a community that empowers confident claim decisions—and our people are at the heart of that mission. Grounded in our core values—Community, Integrity, Empowerment, and Creativity—we foster a culture where big ideas are encouraged, collaboration is celebrated, and every voice matters.

We’re proud to have a tenured leadership team from the legal, insurance, and software worlds—mentors who are passionate about helping you grow. If you're ready to make a meaningful impact with a company that values both purpose and performance, we want to meet you.

The Role: Hearing Attorney

If you love solving problems, helping people, and working in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment, this role will feel like home. As a Hearing Attorney, you’ll guide claimants through their Social Security Disability (SSDI) journey—supporting them at their hearing through appeal.

You’ll be the connection point between our clients, government agencies, and internal teams—making sure every step of the process is smooth, accurate, and supportive. You’re helping people access life-changing benefits, and you’ll have the training, tools, and leadership support to do it well.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide representation/advocacy services on behalf of claimants across the U.S., including presenting opening and closing statements, and cross-examining medical and vocational experts
  • Fully evaluate claims for pursuit and prepare claimants for such hearings
  • Request and manage medical and vocational evidence to build strong cases
  • Frequent contact with the Office of Hearing Operations and the Social Security Administration via telephone, email and electronic portal (ERE)
  • Periodically draft on-the-record briefs, and other similar memos to comply with Administrative Law Judge requests
  • Travel, as needed (and at Claimify’s expense), for occasional in-person hearings (less than 5% of overall monthly scheduled hearings; remainder are virtual)
  • Answer customer questions pertaining to our services, via our contact methods within established company standards, guidelines and scripts
  • Maintain detailed case records and track all customer interactions and documents. Ensure all records are controlled in a manner which ensures integrity and accessibility including scanning and uploading of documents

What You Bring:

  • Juris Doctorate Degree
  • Must be licensed in at least one state with no prior bar sanctions or complaints
  • 1-5 years of experience in Social Security Disability
  • Passion for helping others and solving problems
  • Sharp attention to detail and analytical thinking
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish? Even better!
  • Preferred but not required; experience in:
  • Salesforce
  • Long-Term Disability
  • Data analytics

Why You'll Love Working at Claimify:

  • Competitive salary + 401K
  • Generous PTO + 12 paid holidays
  • Medical & dental insurance
  • Flexible schedules & remote work options
  • Career development and mentorship
  • Room to grow and innovate
  • Volunteer Time Off (VTO)
