Heat Pump Service Engineer

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Service Engineer to join our growing team. The role will primarily focus on the servicing, maintenance, fault finding, and repair of heat pump systems and associated renewable technologies across domestic and light commercial applications, with occasional installation and commissioning support where required.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of renewable heating systems and hands-on experience working on refrigeration circuits, including fault diagnosis, refrigerant handling, and replacement of common refrigeration components.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned servicing and preventative maintenance on heat pump systems.
  • Diagnose and repair faults on ASHP, EAHP, GSHP, and associated renewable technologies.
  • Attend breakdowns and carry out reactive repair works.
  • Diagnose faults within refrigeration circuits and carry out repairs in line with F-Gas regulations.
  • Replace common refrigeration and system components as required.
  • Accurately complete service documentation and job reports.
  • Maintain high standards of customer service and professionalism on site.
  • Support light installation and commissioning works where required.
  • Ensure compliance with all health & safety procedures and F-Gas requirements.

Essential Requirements

  • Proven experience working on heat pump systems within a service and repair environment.
  • Valid F-Gas qualification.
  • Strong understanding of refrigeration circuits and refrigeration fault diagnosis.
  • Experience carrying out refrigerant handling and refrigeration component replacement.
  • Good electrical fault-finding ability.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Domestic Gas qualifications (CCN1).
  • Experience within domestic and light commercial renewable heating systems.
  • Unvented hot water qualification.
  • Knowledge of heating controls and BMS integration.
  • Experience commissioning renewable heating systems.

Pay: £44,000.00 per year
