Heating Engineer (domestic gas) - Newcastle + surrounding areas

Job description

You'll be responsible for North East gas repair and maintenance work - including, boiler/fire servicing and landlord gas safety checks (CP12 certificates).

Our team We're a small team of local gas boiler and heat pump experts.

The business is family-run and was founded in 2007.

You'll be working alongside a friendly and passionate team and although you'll have a few years of solid experience under your belt, we're here to help you continuously learn (particularly when it comes to air source heat pumps).

Where you'll work

You'll initially work across Newcastle, Gateshead, and surrounding areas (we currently cover all NE, DH, and SR postcodes).

Working hours (full time and part time hours available)

• Full time hours are on average 40 per week- Mon - Fri
• Part time hours are between 20-30 / week (TBC to suit you) - Mon - Sat

In order to meet the needs of our customers, a degree of flexibility is required.

Pay

£32000- £41000 (depending on skill and experience).

Van, fuel card, uniform, company pension.

About you

You're a friendly and experienced Gas Safe qualified engineer with...

- At least 2 years of experience since qualifying

- Basic electrical knowledge and experience using a multimeter

- Experience in working on a variety of different manufacturer’s appliances

- While service and repair are the primary responsibilities, a willingness to assist with installs is essential.

- Strong first-time fix rate

- Full UK driving license

- Punctual and able to work to targets

- Good verbal communication skills

Your qualifications

- CCN1 (core domestic gas safety)

- CENWAT1 (gas boiler, central heating, and hot water)

- CPA1 (gas analysis)

- HTR1 (gas fires)

- CKR1 (gas cookers)

Desirable (but not essential):

- Unvented qualification (G3)

- Plumbing qualifications/experience

- ASHP experience
