Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Technician

Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician and become a vital part of ensuring optimal climate control and mechanical system performance across diverse properties. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing HVAC systems, refrigeration units, and related mechanical equipment. Your expertise will help create comfortable, safe environments for clients while supporting property maintenance operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical skills in a fast-paced field service environment, with a focus on delivering exceptional service and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including air conditioning units, refrigeration equipment (including ammonia refrigeration), and ventilation systems.
  • Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, blueprints, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and execute repairs.
  • Conduct routine inspections of mechanical systems to ensure optimal operation; perform preventative maintenance on HVAC/R equipment.
  • Perform tasks related to HVAC systems and property maintenance; repair leaks or faulty components as needed.
  • Diagnose complex mechanical problems using technical knowledge of refrigeration cycles, airflow dynamics, and equipment specifications.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an HVAC service technician or in related construction or mechanical fields; familiarity with field service operations is highly desirable.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in equipment repair including ductwork, copper, air conditioning units, refrigeration systems (including ammonia refrigeration).
  • Ability to read schematics and HVAC design plans accurately; experience with electrical testing tools such as ohmmeters is preferred.
  • Skilled in welding techniques and familiar with property maintenance tasks related to HVAC/R systems.
  • Knowledge of refrigerants, HVAC/R codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
  • Additional certifications such as HVAC/R licenses or specialized training in ammonia refrigeration are a plus; mechanic experience is highly valued. Join us to make a tangible difference by ensuring the comfort and safety of countless environments through your technical expertise!

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
