Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team and deliver exceptional service across residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems.
• Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and execute repairs.
• Perform routine maintenance on HVAC equipment to prevent breakdowns and extend system lifespan.
• Conduct plumbing work related to HVAC systems such as refrigerant lines, drainage, and water supply connections.
• Use diagnostic tools like ohmmeters and other testing devices to identify electrical or mechanical faults.
• Repair or replace components such as compressors, fans, motors, valves, and welders as needed.
• Maintain detailed service records, logs of inspections, repairs performed, parts used, and system performance data.
• Operate a <PERSON> driver vehicle safely for field service visits across multiple sites.
• Assist with ammonia refrigeration systems and other specialized HVAC/R (refrigeration) applications when necessary.
• Collaborate with team members on complex projects involving HVAC design modifications or property upgrades.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a service technician in HVAC or related mechanical fields with construction background preferred.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and interpret technical drawings accurately.
• Hands-on experience with plumbing, refrigeration systems—including ammonia refrigeration—and appliance repair.
• Familiarity with HVAC/R equipment repair, maintenance procedures, welding techniques, boiler operation, and property maintenance tasks.
• Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters effectively for electrical troubleshooting.
• Mechanical skills combined with excellent problem-solving abilities in field service environments.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating <PERSON> driver vehicles is a plus.
• Knowledge of HVAC design principles and familiarity with schematics is highly desirable.
• Certifications or training in refrigeration (including ammonia systems), welding, boiler operation or HVAC/R are advantageous. Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
