Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems.
• Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, blueprints, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and execute repairs.
• Perform routine inspections of mechanical equipment to identify potential problems before they escalate.
• Conduct field service operations on HVAC/R (refrigeration) systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
• Utilize tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing and welding equipment for repairs when necessary.
• Maintain detailed records of service activities, repairs performed, parts used, and system performance data.
• Assist with plumbing tasks related to HVAC systems as needed and support property maintenance activities to ensure overall building functionality.
• Operate company vehicles responsibly as a <PERSON> driver when traveling between job sites.
• Apply mechanical knowledge in the repair of appliances and field equipment to maximize operational efficiency.
• Support ongoing HVAC system upgrades by contributing to design discussions involving HVAC design principles and schematics.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an HVAC service technician or in a similar mechanical maintenance role with construction or property management backgrounds.
• Strong understanding of schematics, blueprints, HVAC design concepts, and refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration.
• Mechanical knowledge covering boilers, pumps, ductwork, ventilation fans, and related equipment.
• Hands-on experience with equipment repair including welding techniques and boiler maintenance.
• Familiarity with plumbing systems associated with HVAC setups.
• Ability to read electrical diagrams and use diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters effectively.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience as a <PERSON> driver preferred.
• Certification or experience in HVAC/R (Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning/Refrigeration), appliance repair or property maintenance is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of field service procedures combined with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in diverse environments while maintaining safety standards at all times. Pay: $32.00 - $70.00 per hour
