Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC systems, mechanical knowledge, and field service experience. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC equipment across various property types, ensuring optimal performance and safety. A valid driver’s license and experience with refrigeration, plumbing, and equipment repair are essential. The technician will work on diverse projects including air conditioning systems, boilers, ammonia refrigeration, and appliance repair, providing high-quality service to our clients.
Starting rate $25/hr, the pay will increase with bonuses and after training.
Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, and refrigeration equipment.
- Read and interpret schematics, HVAC design plans, and technical manuals to accurately perform installations and repairs.
- Conduct routine maintenance on HVAC equipment to ensure efficient operation and longevity.
- Diagnose mechanical issues using tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic devices.
- Perform plumbing tasks related to HVAC systems when necessary.
- Repair or replace mechanical components such as motors, compressors, fans, and valves.
- Utilize welding skills for equipment repair or fabrication tasks when required.
- Maintain detailed service records and documentation of work performed.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes during all operations.
- Assist with property maintenance tasks related to HVAC systems as needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an HVAC technician or service technician with knowledge of HVAC/R systems.
- Strong mechanical knowledge including refrigeration, plumbing, boiler operation, and appliance repair.
- Ability to read schematics and HVAC design plans accurately.
- Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems is a plus.
- Familiarity with field service procedures and property maintenance practices.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for troubleshooting electrical components.
- Skilled in equipment repair techniques including welding when necessary.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required (<PERSON> driver).
- Additional skills such as construction experience, mechanical knowledge, or property maintenance are advantageous.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in diverse environments requiring physical activity such as lifting or working at heights.
