Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems using schematics and technical manuals.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment to maximize lifespan and efficiency.
- Install new HVAC systems following design specifications and schematics, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Conduct plumbing and appliance repairs related to HVAC operations, including refrigerant handling and ammonia refrigeration systems.
- Utilize tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment to troubleshoot electrical issues and perform mechanical repairs.
- Read and interpret HVAC design plans, schematics, and technical documents to guide installation or repair projects.
- Maintain detailed service records, logs, and reports for all work performed, ensuring accurate documentation for future reference.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a service technician in HVAC or related mechanical fields with a solid understanding of HVAC/R systems.
- Strong knowledge of construction principles related to building systems installation and maintenance.
- Familiarity with schematics, electrical wiring diagrams, and HVAC design plans.
- Experience with plumbing, refrigeration (including ammonia refrigeration), boiler operation, and appliance repair is highly desirable.
- Mechanical knowledge combined with field service experience in property maintenance environments.
- Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and perform welding or equipment repair tasks confidently.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating <PERSON> drivers preferred for transportation between sites.
- Certifications in HVAC/R technology or relevant trade licenses are advantageous; ongoing training encouraged to stay current with industry standards. Pay: $40.00 - $59.00 per hour
