Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems using schematics and technical manuals.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment to maximize lifespan and efficiency.
• Install new HVAC systems following design specifications and schematics, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Conduct plumbing and appliance repairs related to HVAC operations, including refrigerant handling and ammonia refrigeration systems.
• Utilize tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment to troubleshoot electrical issues and perform mechanical repairs.
• Read and interpret HVAC design plans, schematics, and technical documents to guide installation or repair projects.
• Maintain detailed service records, logs, and reports for all work performed, ensuring accurate documentation for future reference.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a service technician in HVAC or related mechanical fields with a solid understanding of HVAC/R systems.
• Strong knowledge of construction principles related to building systems installation and maintenance.
• Familiarity with schematics, electrical wiring diagrams, and HVAC design plans.
• Experience with plumbing, refrigeration (including ammonia refrigeration), boiler operation, and appliance repair is highly desirable.
• Mechanical knowledge combined with field service experience in property maintenance environments.
• Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and perform welding or equipment repair tasks confidently.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating <PERSON> drivers preferred for transportation between sites.
• Certifications in HVAC/R technology or relevant trade licenses are advantageous; ongoing training encouraged to stay current with industry standards. Pay: $40.00 - $59.00 per hour
