Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team! Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions.
- Perform routine maintenance on HVAC/R equipment to prevent breakdowns and extend system lifespan.
- Conduct plumbing work related to HVAC systems such as drainage connections and water supply lines.
- Utilize tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing and welding equipment for repairs when necessary.
- Diagnose mechanical problems using specialized equipment repair techniques and mechanical knowledge.
- Maintain detailed service records, complete shift reports, incident logs, and documentation of all repairs performed.
- Operate a <PERSON> driver vehicle safely while transporting tools or equipment to job sites.
- Collaborate with property maintenance teams to ensure all HVAC systems meet safety standards and operational requirements.
- Assist with appliance repair tasks related to HVAC-related appliances or systems when required.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a service technician in HVAC or related mechanical fields with a strong background in construction environments.
- Extensive knowledge of HVAC/R systems including refrigeration, ammonia refrigeration, air conditioning, boilers, and ventilation units.
- Ability to read schematics, technical drawings, and HVAC design plans accurately.
- Mechanical knowledge of plumbing systems and electrical components used in HVAC applications.
- Skilled in the use of diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for electrical troubleshooting.
- Experience with equipment repair techniques including welding and mechanical adjustments.
- Field service experience with property maintenance or appliance repair is highly desirable.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; <PERSON> driver certification preferred.
- Certifications in HVAC/R technologies; additional certifications in welding or boiler operation are advantageous.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in diverse environments while maintaining safety standards.
