Responsibilities
- Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions.
- Conduct routine inspections of mechanical equipment, plumbing fixtures, and refrigeration units to ensure proper operation and compliance with safety standards.
- Utilize tools such as ohmmeters, welding equipment, and specialized diagnostic devices to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems efficiently.
- Repair appliances related to HVAC/R systems while adhering to safety protocols and industry best practices.
- Maintain detailed service records, work logs, and reports documenting all repairs, inspections, and installations performed.
- Collaborate with property maintenance teams to coordinate repairs or upgrades that improve system performance and energy efficiency.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in construction sites or field service environments.
- Proficiency in reading schematics, technical diagrams, and HVAC system design plans.
- Experience with refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of plumbing systems related to HVAC applications; ability to perform appliance repair when necessary.
- Familiarity with HVAC/R standards, air conditioning units, boilers, and related mechanical equipment.
- Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters effectively for electrical troubleshooting.
- Skilled in welding techniques for equipment repair or fabrication tasks.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record; experience driving <PERSON> vehicles preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude combined with strong problem-solving skills for complex maintenance tasks.
- Ability to interpret technical schematics and perform precise repairs based on detailed instructions.
Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
