Join our dynamic team as a Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician, where you will play a vital role in maintaining and repairing essential climate control systems across various properties. Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration systems (including ammonia refrigeration), and related mechanical equipment.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC drawings to accurately identify issues and implement solutions.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as filter replacements, system calibrations, and component inspections to prevent future failures.
- Conduct field service operations involving appliance repair, property maintenance, plumbing work, welding, and mechanical adjustments.
- Utilize tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment to assess electrical circuits and mechanical components.
- Install new HVAC equipment following safety protocols and design specifications; modify existing systems to improve efficiency.
- Maintain detailed service records, logs of repairs performed, parts used, and system performance data for accountability and future reference.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an HVAC technician or service technician with hands-on knowledge of HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) systems.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in construction environments or property maintenance settings.
- Ability to read schematics accurately and apply HVAC design principles effectively.
- Skilled in plumbing, refrigeration (including ammonia refrigeration), boiler operation, welding, and general equipment repair.
- Familiarity with field service procedures involving appliance repair and property upkeep.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating <PERSON> drivers preferred.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters; ability to troubleshoot electrical issues efficiently.
- Knowledge of safety standards related to HVAC/R systems including handling of refrigerants and ammonia-based refrigeration systems.
- Mechanical aptitude combined with excellent problem-solving skills; ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments.
