Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of HVAC systems across commercial and residential properties. Your expertise will ensure optimal indoor climate control, energy efficiency, and system reliability. Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration units, and ventilation equipment.
• Read and interpret schematics, technical diagrams, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and execute repairs.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as filter replacements, system calibrations, and component inspections to prevent future failures.
• Conduct plumbing work related to HVAC systems, including pipe fitting and leak repairs.
• Utilize specialized tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing and welding equipment for component fabrication or repair.
• Diagnose mechanical problems using comprehensive mechanical knowledge and field service techniques; repair or replace faulty components efficiently.
• Maintain detailed service records, complete work orders promptly, and communicate effectively with clients regarding system status and recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards related to ammonia refrigeration, HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration), and property maintenance protocols.
• Operate a <PERSON> driver vehicle safely for on-site visits or equipment transport as needed.

Experience

• Proven experience as a service technician in HVAC installation, maintenance, or repair roles.
• Strong background in construction-related tasks involving HVAC systems or mechanical installations.
• Familiarity with schematics, technical diagrams, and HVAC design principles.
• Hands-on experience with refrigeration systems—including ammonia refrigeration—is highly desirable.
• Mechanical knowledge spanning plumbing, appliance repair, boiler operation, welding techniques, and equipment repair.
• Field service experience working on air conditioning units, property maintenance projects, or similar environments.
• Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters effectively in troubleshooting electrical components.
