Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Technician

Join our dynamic team as a Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician and become a vital part of ensuring comfort, safety, and efficiency across a variety of light commercial and residential properties. In this energetic role, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain HVAC systems, and related mechanical equipment. Duties

  • Perform repair and maintenance of HVAC systems including air conditioning units, furnaces, heat pumps, air handlers and IAQ products.
  • Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and HVAC manuals to accurately troubleshoot issues.
  • Conduct field service visits to diagnose problems using tools such as ohmmeters and brazing equipment; execute repairs efficiently to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain and repair plumbing systems associated with HVAC units to ensure optimal operation.
  • Support property maintenance tasks by inspecting mechanical systems and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Operate vehicles such as a service truck or van to job sites; adhere to all safety protocols during fieldwork.
  • Utilize mechanical knowledge to perform brazing, equipment repair, and troubleshooting of complex HVAC systems involving R32, R454B & other refrigerants.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years HVAC experience required
  • Proven experience as a service technician with a strong background in HVAC systems service and preventative maintenance.
  • Knowledge of construction practices related to HVAC installation and property maintenance projects.
  • Ability to read schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design documents accurately.
  • Mechanical skills including brazing, residential equipment troubleshooting and preventative maintenance.
  • Familiarity with field service procedures; experience using tools such as ohmmeters for electrical diagnostics.
  • Valid driver’s license; clean driving record preferred.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by experience in HVAC systems or mechanic roles; certification in HVAC is advantageous.
