Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Technician

Duties

• Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems.
• Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to ensure precise installation and maintenance.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as filter replacements, system calibrations, and mechanical adjustments to maximize efficiency.
• Diagnose issues using tools like ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment; execute repairs on electrical components, plumbing connections, and mechanical parts.
• Conduct field service visits to property sites for emergency repairs or scheduled maintenance; document all work performed accurately.
• Repair appliances related to HVAC systems including refrigeration units and other mechanical equipment; perform welding or other fabrication as needed.
• Maintain safety standards by adhering to proper procedures for working with refrigerants like ammonia refrigeration and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
• Assist in HVAC system design modifications or upgrades; support property maintenance projects with technical expertise.
• Operate company vehicles safely while transporting tools and equipment to various job sites.

Experience

• Proven experience as a service technician specializing in HVAC systems with a strong background in construction environments preferred.
• Hands-on experience with refrigeration systems and HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/ Refrigeration) is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with schematics, blueprints, HVAC design principles, and electrical wiring diagrams required for accurate troubleshooting.
• Previous field service experience working directly on air conditioning units and ventilation systems is necessary.
• Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters confidently; experience with equipment repair including motors and mechanical components is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating <PERSON> drivers or similar commercial vehicles preferred. Starting pay based on experience; seeking experienced technician.

Pay: $20.00 - $45.00 per hour
